At Anaavilama Lekhana, our founders and active members may not have formal training from film institutes or the traditional film industry. While this might be viewed as a disadvantage, we invite you to consider a more significant truth.

Every year, 1,200 to 1,500 films are released in India, with the growing influence of OTT platforms and web series further increasing this number. However, it’s rare to find more than 10 films that truly have enduring value.

We are not criticizing filmmakers, but we are pointing out an undeniable reality: while film techniques have evolved in India, the quality of content has noticeably declined. Don’t just take our word for it—ask any genuine filmmaker or artist, and off-camera, they’ll likely agree. Even directors whose films gross 200 crores will admit dissatisfaction with their own work.

If a director can be dissatisfied with a film that makes 200 crores, perhaps this highlights our point. The reality is simple—when you look for content-driven films, it’s hard to find substance outside of a select few, like Aayushmann Khurrana in front of the camera, Taapsee Pannu among actresses, Anubhav Sinha among directors, and Vidhu Vinod Chopra as a producer.

There’s a clear issue within the Indian film industry, one that is often overlooked. This issue is our unique selling proposition: The Writers.

To discuss your project with us, you must first submit the form. Once submitted, the next step is to schedule an appointment for a one-hour video call with one of our project heads. This step is essential to ensure that you are truly invested in your project and that our time is valued.

Secure Your Slot

To confirm your appointment, we require a non-refundable online payment of ₹3,000. This allows us to dedicate focused time to understanding your vision and providing insights to shape your script.

Step 4 

Submit the Receipt and Request an Appointment

After completing the online payment, please email us at anaavilamalekhana@gmail.com with the payment receipt and mention your preferred language for discussion. Once we verify the payment, we will respond to confirm and coordinate the appointment timing.

Step 6 

Open Discussion Round

When a project head reaches out to you, it’s essential to communicate openly. This helps us thoroughly understand your requirements, vision, and expectations. It also enables us to decide whether we are the right fit to collaborate. We seek to work with serious, honest, and creative individuals, so please express your thoughts clearly and candidly.

 Step 7

Fill Out the Second Form

If we decide to move forward, you will be notified via both call and official email. You will then be required to complete a second form, outlining your requirements in detail. This ensures we have a mutual understanding and can work smoothly throughout the project.

 Step 8

The First Creative Meeting

Bring your creative team to the initial meeting, where we will thoroughly discuss all aspects of the project. After the meeting, send us an official email summarizing the decisions made during the discussion.

 Step 9

Finalizing Project Charges

Following the creative meeting, we will assess the project details and determine if we can meet your budget expectations. Once the evaluation is complete, we will inform you of the project charges. If you agree to the proposed amount, we will proceed to the next step.

 Step 10

Contract Discussion

Upon agreeing on the charges, a meeting will be arranged with our legal team to discuss the contract terms. We recommend you attend the meeting with your legal advisor to ensure a smooth and transparent process.

Step 11 

Signing the Legal Contract

Once both parties agree on the contract terms, we will sign the legal agreement. The project will officially commence after the contract is signed. Payments will be made as per the agreed schedule, and we will deliver the project accordingly.
